ABOUT
The imperfect is perfect.
As an artist, I am constantly evolving and look to the future with passionate curiosity. The performance aspect of my creative process stems from the Gutai movement. Informal art, Tachism and abstract expressionism are fundamental artistic movements that are reflected in my work.
The imperfect is perfect: The foundation of my creative process. I take as inspiration the colours and shapes of nature and I marvel again and again at the beautiful masterpieces that I find there: Old pieces of wood, pebbles or rocks are but a few of the many treasures, which have been shaped by time, through which they have become in a way alive and spirited for me.
Inspirations, especially from the primordial nature, seem to want or need to manifest themselves through me as a type of medium. Materials that I often choose by chance, have a life of their own, that I consciously allow to unfold. Anything that is unwanted, coincidental or imperfect is part of the process. I see them as a gift, an enrichment, an incentive for the creation process. Until a piece of art is finished I passionately follow a path, shaped by highs and lows. However I would not want to miss that mysterious moment, in which a piece of art begins to breathe, to evolve and to slowly break away from me, starting a life of its own.

Ich stehe als Künstler in einer stetigen Entwicklung und blicke mit leidenschaftlicher Neugier in die Zukunft. Die Performance in meinem Kunstschaffen hat den Ursprung in der Gutai-Bewegung. Informelle Kunst, Tachismus und abstrakter Expressionismus sind wesentliche Kunstrichtungen, die in meinen Werken auch erkennbar sind.
Die Farben und Formen der Natur sind sichtbare Geschenke. Ich freue mich immer wieder über wunderschöne Kunstwerke der Natur, denen ich begegne: alte Holzstücke, Kieselsteine oder Gesteinsbrocken sind nur einige von vielen Schätzen, die von der Zeit geprägt wurden und somit für mich etwas Lebendiges und Beseeltes bekommen haben.
Inspirationen, besonders aus dem Ursprünglichen, wollen oder müssen durch mich als eine Art Medium hervorgebracht werden. Materialien, die ich oft zufällig wähle, besitzen ein Eigenleben, das ich bewusst entfalten lasse. Ungewolltes, Zufälliges oder Fehlerhaftes gehören zum Prozess. Ich sehe sie als Geschenk, Bereicherung oder als Anregung zum Weitermachen. Bis ein Werk vollendet ist, gehe ich einen leidenschaftlichen Weg, geprägt von Höhen und Tiefen. Ich möchte jedoch den geheimnisvollen Moment nicht missen, in denen ein Werk zu atmen beginnt, sich entwickelt, sich langsam von mir löst und sein eigenes Leben beginnt.
Das Unvollkommene ist vollkommen: Das Fundament meines künstlerischen Schaffens.
